From time to time, we have employees who we need to let go. While this is never a pleasant experience, we need to be mindful to handle the payment of terminations  timely and accurately to avoid costly mistakes and further complications.

Every state has their own laws when it comes to handling the issuing of final paychecks for terminated employees as well as employees who voluntarily leave the company. Below is a compiled list of state laws:
